A 22-year-old college football player had died in Washington state and police are investigating his sudden death.

Bryce Beekman, a football player from Washington State University, was found dead in his apartment on Tuesday after police in Pullman, Washington received a 911 call from Beekman’s apartment for a person with breathing problems. When paramedics arrived, the former star safety for WSU was pronounced dead on the scene.

No cause of death has been determined, however, Pullman Police are conducting an ongoing investigation into the Baton Rouge, Louisiana native’s death.

Beekman was an exceptional player, starting all 13 games in 2019 and was fifth on the team in tackles that season.

Two years ago, the Washington State U. football program took a hit when they lost quarterback Tyler Hilinski after he committed suicide in his apartment near campus.
