Exclusive: T-Pain Goes Country. Talks Upcoming Collaborations with Luke Bryan & Taylor Swift
Top NFL superstars such as Odell Beckham Jr., Michael Thomas, Patrick Mahomes, and more have come together as one to hold the league accountable. Following the barbaric murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor, the NFL released a vague statement.
This statement did not live up to the standard of its players. In a recent video, the players have come together to demand more.
“We would like to hear you state: we the National Football League condemn racism and the systematic oppression of black people. We, The National Football League admit wrong in silencing our players from peacefully protesting.”
In 2016, San Francisco 49ers quarterback, Colin Kaepernick was silenced and eventually released from the team after peacefully protesting against police brutality and racism by taking a knee during the national anthem. The players have put the league of the clock.
New Orlean Saints Quarterback, Drew Brees caught a lot of smoke following his statement of incognizance. He has since apologized for following a conversation with his teammates. Many worry about the divide in the Saints locker room following the turmoil brought on by its leader.
