J.R. Sixth
As reported by the Associated Press and now confirmed by ESPNNewYork.com, J.R. Smith is indeed the NBA’s Sixth Man Of The Year. A news conference will be held today where J.R. Smith will receive his award.
Smith averaged 18.1 ppg this year coming off the bench including 29 games with at least 20 pts. Smith’s high level of play off the bench for the Knicks was an integral part in the Knicks reclaiming their first Atlantic Division title since 1994. The Knicks currently lead the Boston Celtics 1-0 in their NBA playoff series.
Congratulations to J.R. Smith.
