For the 3rd straight year, a legendary New Yorker has the honor of headlining the BK Hip-Hop Festival.
Brooklyn Bodega’s signature music festival has finally announced their line-up for their 9th go-round, the 2013 edition of the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival. In addition to the legendary Wu-Tang member Redman headlining the famous stage for the first time, EPMD, G.O.O.D. Music’s Pusha T & recent upstart Dizzy Wright will co-headline under the Brooklyn Bridge this July. In the past couple years, The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival has produced a few of the most legendary moments in the genre. IN 2011, shortly after the release of Section.80, Kendrick Lamar graced the stage and introduced New York to the TDE sound a few short hours before Kanye West made a surprise appearance during Q-Tip’s headlining set, during which the two gave a memorable rendition of ATCQ’s classic “Award Tour”. Just last year, for the first time in over a decade, all the members of A Tribe Called Quest and Leaders Of The New School were brought together on the same stage to perform “Scenario”, as Busta Rhymes made history during his headlining set. We can only imagine what Redman and his co-headliners will have planned come summer time, but if the past two years are any indication, you won’t want to miss the BK Hip-Hop Festival this year. Get your tickets here and prepare to be amazed.
Kanye surprises the crowd in 2011.

A Tribe Called Quest & Leaders Of The New School make history.
