According to a recent report from ESPN, Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving will be producing a television special calling for legal action in the death of 36-year-old EMT worker Breonna Taylor, who was killed by police in her home in Louisville, Kentucky.

The special, which will be called #SayHerName: Breonna Taylor is set to debut tonight (July 8) at 7 pm EST on the Players network.

Irving’s special will focus on the no-knock raid on the wrong home erroneously executed by the Louisville Police Department as well as several of Breonna’s family members, who will be speaking on Breonna’s case and other social justice issues that need to be addressed in the U.S.

Some of the notable women featured in the special include, Alicia Garza, co-founder of Black Lives Matter, Democratic U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, and journalist Jemele Hill.

Irving, who has been one of the more outspoken athletes in recent times, says it’s “critical to magnify how these unjust behaviors and practices are directly impacting Black women.”
