Donald Trump has invited Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder to the White House.
Trump watched the fight and spoke to reporters about it.
“That was a great fight, two great fighters, it was really very exciting. Maybe we have to bring them both to the White House, I don’t know because that was really a good one. In fact, I think we’ll do that.”
A longtime fight fan, Trump has hosted many boxing matches in his casino. UFC President Dana White and promoter Don King stumped for him on the 2016 campaign trail.
Trump at one time was a major equity stakeholder in Affliction Entertainment, an MMA promotion offshoot from a clothing line.
Fighters like Floyd Mayweather, Jr. have been linked with Trump and he regularly attends UFC fights. His last combat sport appearance was at UFC 244 in November 2019 when Jorge Masvidal defeated Nate Diaz.
He issued an invitation for Masvidal to come by the White House after his win.
No word on whether Fury or Wilder has accepted the invitation.
