Last night at the legendary SOB’s the Nu-Hop Concert Series presented The New Harlem showcase, which featured some the brightest and most talented up and coming artist from Harlem. The event was hosted by Wayno from Cool Mentality and our homie Puma from VH1’s Black Ink Crew.
As always you can expect big names to be in the building when it comes SOBs putting on an event, Harlem’s own Vado was in the building showing love to all the up and comers from his beloved Harlem. Also in attendence was famed battle rapper Loaded Lux putting in that work on the stage. The event featured the talents of Yung Nate, Show Tufli, 1 Shot Dealz, Slim Dollars who had the crowd entertained with his Trip Set movement, the young and very 90’s influenced Perrion who showcased his lyrical ability, and the buzz worthy MC Dub who performed tracks from his latest mixtape #Fate.
One of the highlights of the show came courtesy of Dub when he displayed a full intro trailer before his performance. This was a very clever and unique way to start his set before he ran up on stage. The night ended with 1 Shot Dealz closing out the show for all the Harlem MC’s that represented at SOB’s.
